K-8 CCD Classes

Register Now!

When: Mondays, 6:15-7:30 PM

Our K-8 program is both fun and fully academic.  In addition to weekly classes, students have the opportunity to participate in field trips, the Christmas pageant, class Masses and Stations of the Cross.

Our parish uses the Sadlier “We Believe” curriculum with special emphasis on meeting the newly promulgated curriculum standards of the Archdiocese of Washington.   These standards are spiral in nature, with each year building and expanding on the knowledge gained in the previous years so it is important for students to attend classes continuously as each year enriches their knowledge of the faith, in word and action.

Both First and Second grades prepare the children to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  (Special arrangements can be made for children who join the program after first grade).  Likewise, both seventh and eighth grade classes are part of the Confirmation requirements.

Inquirers’ Class

When: Wednesdays, 7:00

Anyone who wants to learn more about the Catholic Faith is invited to attend.  Typical participants might be those wishing to convert to the faith, Catholics who have been away from the Church for some time, or are missing some of the sacraments.

This class will lead into the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults for persons converting to the faith, or receiving sacraments for the first time.

RCIA – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) involves preparation for the Sacraments of Baptism, the Eucharist and/or Confirmation for those adult Catholics who have not yet received these Sacraments of Initiation as well as non-Catholics seeking to come into full communion with the Catholic Church.  Please visit the following website for more information on RCIA or becoming Catholic
